More than 65 years ago, our founding company was established to get children to and from school safely. Today, the RLB focus on safety is as strong as ever. Through our programs we emphasize that the safety of everyone we transport is our number one priority.
Above and beyond on safety
At RLB, we live what we believe. Our safety standards are high. Every RLB school bus driver receives safety training that meets or exceeds state and federal requirements, but we don’t stop there. RLB offers safety training and seminars regularly on a variety of safety topics, from railroad grade crossings to refresher tips on safe backing and right turn techniques. We reward our drivers for outstanding performance in safe driving.
RLB is an industry leader in safety management. Through special safety and security programs, such as School Bus Watch, we help our drivers be the eyes and ears of safety for our children and our entire community as they make their routes each day.

Safe school bus transportation is a team commitment. At RLB, our safety team includes school bus drivers, aides, mechanics, dispatchers, supervisors, and many others. In addition, RLB works closely with school districts and agencies, parents and caregivers, and those we transport to teach and communicate about safety. If needed, we customize transportation safety programs to each community’s requirements.
