Student safety has always been and will always be a top priority with RLB. We instill this priority in all of our employees, and that same feeling is carried over to the care of all the equipment we operate. Our vehicle maintenance standards meet or exceed all state and federal regulatory requirements because we know that a well-maintained fleet combined with a strong preventive maintenance program is one of the best, most effective means of providing our students and passengers with a safe and reliable fleet of vehicles.

The new buses that we put on the road are built to RLB’s stringent specifications. Typically our specifications exceed state and federal requirements to provide districts and schools with reliable vehicles that will last.
In fact, when districts and schools contract with RLB they realize that through our preventative maintenance programs, years of experience and economies of scale allows us to manage the increasingly high cost of maintenance and repair. For those districts and schools that are looking to outsource their transportation services for the first time they are frequently they are concerned about their aging bus fleet and the high costs associated with maintaining that fleet. Often, RLB is able to dramatically update the existing district, board or school owned bus fleet and enhance the dependability of the district’s bus services.

At RLB, we are serious about making sure every vehicle that we put on the road is safe and roadworthy. We are especially proud of our preventive vehicle maintenance system, an electronic tracking process that maintains complete vehicle histories, schedules preventive maintenance inspections, tracks warranty and parts ordering tasks as well as documents all repairs performed on the vehicle. This program helps assures safe operation and reduced maintenance costs for every RLB vehicle.
The people behind our high-quality vehicles
At RLB, we believe that our maintenance team is the best. Our mechanics and maintenance technicians are highly qualified through participation in industry training and certification programs throughout the year. We encourage our mechanics to participate in the ASE certification process and many of our mechanics participate in comprehensive ASE testing and recertification. RLB vehicle maintenance staff members also receive certification and training from manufacturers such as Navistar, Bluebird, Freightliner, and Allison.
